Guwahati, Sept. 24 -- The Assam government has constituted a Group of Ministers (GoM) to examine recommendations concerning the protection, promotion and development of the Dimasa language, as outlined in the 2023 Memorandum of Settlement signed with the Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) and Dimasa Peoples' Supreme Council (DPSC).

According to an official order dated September 7, the two-member panel will review the report of a committee formed to examine issues related to the Dimasa language under Clause 5.1 of the 2023 settlement.

The GoM comprises Education Minister Ranoj Pegu and Hill Areas Minister Krishnendu Paul.
