Haflong, Sept. 28 -- Homestay operators across Assam can now register their properties online through the SewaSetu portal, following the launch of the new facility by Assam Tourism Minister Ajanta Neog at the state-level World Tourism Day celebration in Umrangso, Dima Hasao, on Sunday.

The initiative is intended to simplify the registration process for homestay owners while making accommodation options more accessible to tourists travelling across the state.

Launching the facility, Neog said the online system would allow homestay operators to offer online booking, improve the visibility of their properties among tourists and maintain an organised database of registered homestays.
