Tinsukia, July 22 -- Students from various schools and colleges staged a protest at Thana Charali in Assam's Tinsukia district on Tuesday, demanding a fair and transparent investigation into the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and seeking accountability from the authorities, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

"The assault on students at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi is a matter of shame for Indian democracy. We still have a chance to wake up; we have to change this government," a protesting student said.

Holding placards and raising slogans, the protesters alleged that recurring controversies surrounding national-level examinations have undermined students' faith in the country's education system.
