Lakhimpur: Three people were killed and several others seriously injured in three separate road accidents reported across Assam's Lakhimpur district over the past 12 hours, prompting renewed concerns over road safety in the region.

The deadliest incident occurred on Saturday night at Borpathar in Narayanpur along National Highway 15, where a hatchback (AR01 M 0826) collided head-on with a motorcycle (AS07 Z 2250). The crash claimed the lives of three individuals, identified as Dimba Pegu, Manabjyoti Doley and Deepjyoti Doley.
