Guwahati, April 20 -- Three persons lost their lives on Saturday after a bathing trip turned tragic in the Pagladia River at Nijbor Shiral Katahbari, which falls under Ghograpar Police Station in Assam's Nalbari district.
Sources said a 35-year-old woman, Gudu Deka, a resident of Nijbor Shiral Katahbari, had called her sister and her would-be brother-in-law, who had arrived from Guwahati, to visit her home.
Later in the day, Gudu Deka, her sister Pinki Das (24), and Rohit Gutung (27) went to the nearby river for a bath. While in the water, they are believed to have entered a deep section and were swept under.
