Doomdooma, Sept. 1 -- Tinsukia Police have arrested associate professor Nilim Jyoti Senapati, the third accused in the death of 26-year-old Chinmoy Jyoti Changmai, from Dhemaji on Monday night.

Senapati had been absconding for more than 100 hours after being named in the case. Changmai was found critically injured outside the JSB Spring Field residential complex in Tinsukia town on August 27 and later died while undergoing treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh.

Changmai was initially taken to Tinsukia Civil Hospital before being shifted to AMCH.

The arrest follows the detention of two other accused, law student Ananya Senapati and her mother, former teacher Juhi Senapati, in connection with the case. The two...
