Guwahati, Aug. 5 -- Supreme Court judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan will deliver a keynote lecture on "Development and Sustainability: Latest Trends" at a public programme organised by Dharitri Suraksha Mancha, Assam, in Guwahati on August 8.

The lecture will be held at 5 pm at Vivekananda Kendra, Uzan Bazar, and is aimed at fostering public discussion on balancing development with environmental sustainability.

The programme will also feature a special address by K.N. Chowdhury, President of the Guwahati High Court Bar Association and Senior Advocate, who will speak on environmental law and the judiciary's role in addressing ecological challenges arising from development projects.
