Doomdooma, Aug. 19 -- Concerns over the alleged use of Assam's Dima Hasao district as a transit route for drug peddlers have resurfaced following the death of Assam Police sub-inspector Nabajit Das, who was killed in the line of duty at Laisong on August 14.

Former Cabinet Minister and Congress leader Nandita Gorlosa on Wednesday said the incident highlights the risks faced by law-enforcement personnel while combating drug trafficking and its wider impact on communities.
