Assam: Speeding dumper kills two youths in Doomdooma; locals protest

Doomdooma: Two youths lost their lives in a tragic road accident involving a dumper truck in Doomdooma in Assam's Tinsukia district on Wednesday night, triggering strong reactions from local residents and the All Tea Tribes Students' Association (ATTSA), which on Thursday prevented the movement of dumpers in the area.
The deceased were identified as Raju Toppo (28) and Anthony Sona (27), both residents of nearby Phillobari village.
According to police sources, the accident took place around 9 pm near the Beesakopie Tea Factory along National Highway 37, a stretch locally known for frequent road accidents.
