Guwahati: A special court is scheduled to hear the bail applications of Paresh Baishya and Nandeshwar Bora on Friday in connection with a disproportionate assets case registered by the Chief Minister's Vigilance Cell.

The two accused, former bodyguards of late Assamese cultural icon Zubeen Garg, had sought bail after a case was registered against them over alleged possession of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The matter will come up before a Special Judge's Court.

Baishya and Bora had earlier approached the Special Fast-Track Court seeking bail, but their applications were rejected. Following the rejection, both filed fresh bail petitions before the special court.
