India, March 12 -- Hundreds of residents in the Lezai Kalakhowa area of Dibrugarh district have been left reeling after a severe storm swept through the region, leaving a trail of damaged homes and crops in its wake.

According to locals, the fierce weather caused significant destruction across several villages, with Dighalia and Panigaon among the worst hit.

"At around 12:00 PM, a heavy storm hit, and within minutes, our homes and crops were ruined. We also lost livestock in the devastation," said a local resident whose house was completely leveled.
