Guwahati: The Guwahati Police Commissionerate has announced special security measures around examination venues for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026, scheduled to be held on June 21, with prohibitory orders to remain in force near all designated centres across the city.

Issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, the directive establishes a restricted zone extending 100 metres from each of the 15 NEET examination centres in Guwahati. The move is intended to safeguard the integrity of the medical entrance examination and ensure its smooth and transparent conduct.
