Pathsala, Sept. 30 -- Concerns over speeding buses on National Highway-27 have intensified in Bajali district after a passenger bus allegedly hit two motorcycles in Pathsala on Wednesday, injuring two riders.

According to local sources, the incident occurred when a bus travelling from Guwahati towards Pathsala allegedly hit two motorcycles on NH-27 in the Pathsala area. The two riders sustained injuries, while the bus driver reportedly fled the spot.

The incident has renewed concerns among local residents and commuters over the alleged speeding of buses along the busy highway. Residents said the absence of service roads in some stretches is adding to risks for pedestrians and local commuters.
