Guwahati, July 11 -- Railway job aspirants in Assam's Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) may soon get an examination centre closer to home, with the Railway Board initiating the process to establish a Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination centre in Kokrajhar.

The move follows a proposal submitted by Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Boro, who had urged the Ministry of Railways to open an RRB examination centre in Kokrajhar to reduce the difficulties faced by candidates from the region. The request was made in May this year.
