India, March 4 -- Assam Police on Wednesday arrested the primary suspect in the TISS Guwahati hidden camera case, identified as Mridupawan Bora of Simaluguri in Sivasagar district.

Bora was intercepted in Kaliabor while traveling from Guwahati to his hometown.

The case involves a hidden camera found in a girls' hostel bathroom at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) campus in Guwahati.

The device was first detected on February 25, 2026, triggering concern among students and institute officials.
