India, Feb. 23 -- A partially constructed bridge on National Highway 27 in Assam's Dima Hasao district collapsed on Sunday, February 22, injuring one worker.
The accident took place at Dolai Chunga in the Harangajao area. The bridge was part of ongoing work on the Nrimbanglo-Harangajao stretch, a vital route connecting remote parts of the district.
The project was contracted to DRA, and authorities confirmed the structure was incomplete when the section gave way.
Reports suggest a portion of the bridge suddenly fell, along with concrete slabs and construction materials. The injured worker received immediate medical attention at a local facility, and no fatalities were reported.
