Guwahati, April 20 -- In a significant show of solidarity ahead of the Assam Assembly election resultstopood here on Sunday. Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurinjyoti Gogoi, who issued a statement late on Sunday evening, highlighted the outcome of the meeting.

"Opposition forces will unite and advance in the interest of the rights of Assamese residents, the protection of democracy, and development. The meeting concluded with a firm commitment to progress through unity, resolve, and people-oriented politics," Gogoi stated.

Leaders extensively discussed the state's post-poll political scenario, ground-level feedback from the April 9 voting, and future strategies to safeguard the interests of the people of Assam.
