Guwahati, Sept. 15 -- The old Saraighat Bridge in Guwahati will reopen to vehicular traffic at 12.30 pm on Tuesday, September 15, following the completion of repair work that kept the bridge closed for more than two months.

The bridge was shut to traffic from July 13 to September 15 to facilitate repair and maintenance work undertaken by the Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway on the railway bridge.

The closure was announced on July 7, with authorities advising commuters to take alternative routes during the repair period.
