Guwahati, Aug. 17 -- Nearly Rs 150 crore in interim assistance has reached flood-hit families in Assam, with the state government aiming to settle all remaining eligible claims by Monday, August 17.

The update emerged from a review meeting on the ongoing flood response, where officials reported that around 75 per cent of the damage assessment has been completed. More than 1,000 surveyors are working in affected areas to finish the remaining assessment at the earliest.
