Guwahati, July 21 -- The North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) has set an ambitious target of increasing its annual revenue from around Rs 120 crore to Rs 500 crore, Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa announced on Sunday while welcoming the Assam Budget 2026-27.

Addressing a press conference at Vajpayee Bhavan in Haflong, Gorlosa described the state budget as balanced, people-centric, and focused on long-term development. He said the financial plan reflects the state government's commitment to inclusive growth and includes significant allocations for the development of Dima Hasao district.
