Assam: Mortal remains of AASU leader brought home after postmortem in Nalbari

Guwahati: The body of 18-year-old Madhurjya Barman, Assistant General Secretary of the West Nalbari Regional Students' Union (AASU), was brought to his ancestral home in Balipathar, Chamata, in Assam's Nalbari district on Monday after postmortem examination.
Barman was allegedly hacked to death on May 31 while returning home on a scooter with his 17-year-old, after visiting Nalbari town to buy books. The incident took place near Gangapur under Mukalmua Police Station.
According to police and eyewitnesses, they were attacked by two assailants identified as Roz Ali and Ashik Ali, who allegedly used sharp weapons.
