Assam: Mission Basundhara 4.0 to launch digital Char land surveys, fast-track land services from December 25
Guwahati, July 14 -- The Assam government has unveiled the fourth phase of its flagship land reform programme, Mission Basundhara 4.0, aimed at strengthening land governance, expanding ownership rights and upgrading land record management across the state.
The new phase of the initiative will be launched on December 25, 2026, on the occasion of National Good Governance Day, according to the state government.
Officials said earlier phases of Mission Basundhara have benefited over 3.56 lakh families, with land rights granted for more than 4.53 lakh bighas of land. Building on these efforts, the latest phase will focus on wider digitisation and improving access to land-related services.
