Doomdooma, Aug. 6 -- Assam Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Minister Kaushik Rai, accompanied by Doomdooma MLA Rupesh Gowala, on Wednesday visited the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and the waste-to-compost production centre at Ushanmati in Ward No. 1 of Doomdooma.

The inspection focused on assessing the functioning of the scientific waste management initiative, which aims to promote recycling, compost production, and cleaner urban surroundings. Prasanta Phukan, MLA, was also present during the visit.
