Guwahati, April 11 -- A man from Assam's Sonapur was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Rudraksh Mall in Bhangagarh, Guwahati. Police have begun an investigation into the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Siddhanta Das, a resident of Sonapur who had tied the knot only about a month earlier. His sudden death has left family members and neighbours in shock and disbelief.

Preliminary inputs suggest that he was found severely injured after reportedly falling from the seventh floor to the fourth floor of Rudraksh Mall.

He was quickly shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where medical staff declared him dead on Saturday, April 11.
