Guwahati, Aug. 3 -- The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) on Monday unveiled its financial plan for 2026-27, allocating Rs 1,678.55 crore for development works covering infrastructure, education, sports and culture across Assam's Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong.

The Budget was introduced during the Council's Budget Session in Diphu, which began on August 3 and is scheduled to end on August 4.

Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang presented the financial statement before the House in a sitting presided over by KAAC Speaker Raju Tisso. Prepared under the State Own Priority Development (SOPD) scheme, the Budget amounts to Rs 1,678 crore, 55 lakh and 11 thousand.
