Assam: J.P. Nadda visits flood-hit Sivasagar, assures 'no shortage' of Central relief
Guwahati, Aug. 5 -- Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday assured Assam of full Central support for relief and rehabilitation in flood-hit areas, saying there would be "no shortage" of assistance for the state.
Nadda, accompanied by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited the flood-ravaged Bihubor and Nepali Khuti areas in Sivasagar district, interacted with affected families and reviewed the damage caused by the recent floods.
Speaking to residents, Nadda said the Centre was extending complete financial assistance to Assam and that Central teams were already assessing the extent of the damage.
