Guwahati, Oct. 27 -- Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati on Tuesday commenced direct air connectivity with Bangkok, establishing a new link between Northeast India and Thailand.

IndiGo's inaugural flight, 6E 1085, is scheduled to depart from Guwahati at 6.15 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 10.45 pm local time. The return flight, 6E 1086, is scheduled to depart from Bangkok at 8.50 am and arrive in Guwahati at 10.25 am.

The new service is expected to facilitate travel between the two destinations and support tourism, trade and cultural exchanges.
