Guwahati: IIT Guwahati has strengthened its position in global academia by securing the ninth spot among Indian institutions in the QS World University Rankings 2027. The institute has also been placed at 349 in the world rankings.

The latest QS list places IIT Delhi at the top in India with a global rank of 118. It is followed by IIT Bombay (134) and IIT Madras (170).

IIT Kharagpur holds the fourth position nationally at 205, while IISc Bengaluru and IIT Kanpur share the fifth spot at 221.

The University of Delhi is ranked seventh in India at 332, followed by IIT Roorkee at 335. IIT Guwahati appears next at ninth place with its global rank of 349.
