Assam: IAF AN-32 transport aircraft crashes while landing at Jorhat airbase
Guwahati, June 13 -- An Indian Air Force transport plane crashed at the Air Force Station in Assam's Jorhat on Saturday, triggering a fire at the site.
The aircraft went down inside the base premises, after which flames erupted following the impact, officials said.
Emergency teams were immediately deployed to the location to douse the fire and secure the area.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and there is no confirmation of casualties or injuries at this stage.
The Indian Air Force has acknowledged the incident and said a detailed update will be shared after an initial assessment. An investigation has also been initiated.
