Guwahati, April 20 -- Guwahati witnessed major disruption after intense rainfall on Sunday, April 19, leading to widespread waterlogging across the city and bringing normal life to a standstill.
Several areas reported heavy water accumulation, with roads and localities submerged, causing serious inconvenience for residents and commuters.
In Hatigaon, major roads were inundated, with water levels rising up to knee-deep and key stretches submerged under what residents described as "artificial flooding." Vehicles remained stranded for hours on waterlogged streets, resulting in long traffic snarls.
Localities such as Six Mile, Rukminigaon, Anil Nagar, Hengrabari-Ganeshguri, and the Beltola-Survey Road stretch were among the worst affected,...
