Assam: Guwahati court summons Marshall Baruah, Ankuman Bordoloi in Bharalumukh protest case

Guwahati: A Guwahati court has summoned artist Marshall Baruah and youth leader Ankuman Bordoloi to appear on June 25 in connection with the 2024 Bharalumukh protest case related to opposition against tree felling in the area.
The summons follows their earlier arrest during demonstrations that raised concerns over urban green cover loss and drew criticism from environmental organisations and civil society groups.
The two individuals had earlier remained in judicial custody for 14 days after being booked under several non-bailable provisions, including charges related to alleged conspiracy.
