Guwahati, April 23 -- The Guwahati district administration has issued a show-cause notice to a highway concessionaire over recurring waterlogging problems reported along sections of the National Highway between Khanapara and Jalukbari.

The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), functioning under the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan district, issued the notice.

It has held M/S Dinesh Chandra Kamakhya Highway Concessions Pvt. Ltd. responsible for not removing blocked cross-culverts even after multiple instructions were given earlier.
