Guwahati, Aug. 8 -- The Assam government has carried out a major reshuffle in the state police administration, transferring and promoting several IPS and APS officers to key positions across the state.

According to a notification issued by the Home and Political Department on Friday, Ratna Singha, IPS, has been allowed to officiate as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Special Branch, while Bijoy Giri Kuligam, IPS, has been allowed to officiate as IGP, BTAD, Kokrajhar.

Kangkan Jyoti Saikia, IPS, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Eastern Range, Jorhat, while Prasama Sagar Changmai, IPS, has been posted as IGP, Fire and Emergency Services, Assam.
