Assam: Government abolishes licence requirement for petroleum products
Guwahati, Sept. 6 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced the abolition of licence requirements for petroleum products as part of the state government's measures to improve the ease of doing business and attract investment.
Taking to X, Sarma said the government aims to create an environment where businesses can operate in Assam in a "hassle-free and rewarding" manner.
According to the Chief Minister, the initiative extends beyond regulatory reforms under the Ease of Doing Business framework, with the government also offering incentives aimed at encouraging businesses and boosting investment in the state.
