Guwahati: Girijananda Chowdhury University (GCU), Assam, has announced admissions for two new undergraduate programmes-B.Sc. in Mathematics and Data Science and B.Sc. in Economics and Data Science.

According to the university, the programmes are designed to combine subject knowledge with data science skills to prepare students for careers in analytics, finance, technology, research and higher education.

Students from Arts, Science and Commerce streams are eligible to apply for the new courses.

The university has also introduced a lateral entry option into the fourth year of undergraduate programmes for eligible students from other universities.
