Guwahati, Aug. 29 -- Gauhati University has distributed 5,000 educational kits to students affected by the recent floods in Assam's Sivasagar district, as part of an initiative to help children continue their education despite flood-related disruptions.

Of the total kits, more than 3,500 were distributed directly to students across 15 schools, while the remaining 1,500 were handed over to the Office of the District Inspector of Schools for distribution among other flood-affected students.
