Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court on Wednesday did not take up the bail application of Shyamkanu Mahanta, an accused in the Zubeen Garg death case.

The bail plea was listed at serial number five before Justice Parthivjyoti Saikia. However, the court did not entertain the application and the matter could not be heard during the day's proceedings.

No official reason was immediately stated for not taking up the matter.

The next hearing on the bail plea has now been scheduled for Thursday, May 14.

The development comes as proceedings in the high-profile case continue before a Fast Track Court.
