Guwahati, Aug. 20 -- Jorhat Police have arrested Ankit Das, one of the key accused in the case involving the mysterious death of a young woman, taking the total number of arrests to four.

Das, a resident of Macharhat in Jorhat, was arrested from Milan Nagar on Thursday, August 20, by a team from Jorhat Sadar Police Station. Investigators are questioning him to determine his alleged involvement in the case. He was reportedly absconding after the woman's death.

Police had earlier arrested three other people in connection with the incident. Two young women were taken into custody on Tuesday, followed by the arrest of alleged prime accused Aryan Goswami.
