Guwahati, Aug. 11 -- The Standing Finance Committee (SFC) reviewed and approved financial proposals amounting to more than Rs 66 crore for various departments, including Women & Child Development, Home & Political, Transport, and Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises. The committee focused on financial discipline, outcome-oriented expenditure, and timely execution of approved projects.

Among the proposals, the Women & Child Development Department presented a Rs 25-crore package. Of this, Rs 10 crore has been proposed for providing utensil kits to preschool children enrolled at Anganwadi Centres, while Rs 15 crore has been earmarked under the Terminal Benefit Scheme for Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Workers (Mini) and Anganwadi Helpers...
