Doomdooma, Sept. 18 -- The death of 27-year-old GNM nurse Shyamolima Bora at a tea estate bungalow in Assam's Doomdooma has taken a new turn after her father, Premkanta Bora, alleged that his daughter was murdered in a "totally pre-planned" act and demanded a high-level inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Speaking to Northeast Now over the phone from Nagaon on Friday evening, Bora said he did not believe that his daughter could have taken her own life. He alleged that there were injuries and other circumstances surrounding her death that raised serious doubts about the version of suicide.

"My daughter can never commit suicide. I suspect a totally pre-planned murder," Bora said.
