Assam: Doomdooma Students' Union seeks urgent action on education, healthcare and road safety
Doomdooma, Aug. 25 -- The Doomdooma Regional Students' Union held a two-hour sit-in near the Gandhi statue in Tinsukia district on Monday, pressing the Assam government to address a series of educational, healthcare, social and civic issues affecting greater Doomdooma and neighbouring areas.
The protesters raised slogans and called for immediate government and district administration intervention on issues they described as urgent public concerns.
After the demonstration, the students' union submitted a memorandum to the Tinsukia District Commissioner through the Doomdooma co-district administration. Assistant Commissioner Sudeep Gogoi received the memorandum on behalf of the administration.
