Dibrugarh, April 10 -- Dibrugarh district has emerged as one of the top performing districts in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026, with a pass percentage of 78.46%, well above the state average of 65.62%, according to results released by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).
Out of 14,380 candidates from the district, 11,283 cleared the examination. Among them, 4,470 secured first division, 5,281 second division and 1,532 third division, reflecting a strong overall performance.
With its pass percentage nearing 80%, Dibrugarh figures among the better-performing districts in the state. Across Assam, 4,29,249 candidates appeared for the examination, of whom 2,81,701 cleared it.
