Dibrugarh, July 23 -- Dibrugarh district administration has stepped up relief efforts for flood-hit districts in Upper Assam by dispatching large quantities of essential supplies, including drinking water, food items and milk, to the worst-affected areas.

As part of the ongoing operation, the administration has sent 1 lakh bottles of drinking water and 50,000 packets of biscuits to Sivasagar district. Another consignment comprising 1 lakh bottles of drinking water and 90,000 packets of biscuits is currently being loaded and is expected to reach the district within the next four to five hours.
