Guwahati, April 20 -- Senior journalist of Dainik Asom and noted educationist Ratul Bora was killed on the spot on Monday morning after a truck allegedly ran over his motorcycle on National Highway 37 at Dergaon in Assam's Golaghat district.

Bora, 56, a resident of Kumar Gaon, served as the Dergaon correspondent of Dainik Asom and was also the headmaster of Lakheraj Janajati High School.

According to reports, the accident took place around 8.30 a.m. when he was travelling from his residence to his workplace on a motorcycle.

While passing through NH-37 at Dergaon, a truck bearing registration number RJ05GA7942 allegedly ran over his vehicle, killing him instantly. CCTV footage reportedly showed Bora riding alongside the moving truck mom...
