Dibrugarh: Indian women's cricketer and Assam's pride Uma Chetry was felicitated by the Dibrugarh District Sports Association (DDSA) on Friday during her visit to the city to participate in the ongoing Liberty Cup Women's T20 Cricket Tournament.

The felicitation ceremony was held at the office of the Sarbananda Sonowal Sports Project under the Dibrugarh District Sports Association.

DDSA President Niranjan Saikia, General Secretary Kamakhya Saikia, Executive President Manas Jyoti Dutta, and Cricket Secretary Abdul Rahman accorded a warm welcome to Chetry with traditional Assamese honours, including a gamosa, cheleng chador, traditional muga attire, and bouquets.
