Guwahati, July 29 -- Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Tuesday presented a Budget of Rs 1,58,831.32 lakh for the 2026-27 financial year, outlining major investments in education, infrastructure and public welfare.

Mohilary, who also heads the BTC Finance Department, tabled the Budget on the opening day of the two-day Budget Session of the BTC Legislative Council, which is being held on July 29 and 30.

A significant portion of the budget, Rs 90,000 lakh, has been allocated under the Consolidated State-Owned Priority Development (SOPD) Grant. The financial plan also sets aside Rs 20,000 lakh for infrastructure projects, creation of capital assets, and implementation of the Bodoland Territorial Region Accord.
