Guwahati, April 19 -- The decomposed body of a polling official, who had gone missing during election duty earlier this month, was recovered from a remote hill area in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Cornelius Kindu. His body was found in the Rongwongwey area by local residents, who alerted the police. Authorities said the remains were in an advanced stage of decomposition at the time of recovery.
