Guwahati, Oct. 4 -- Diphu Lok Sabha MP Amarsing Tisso of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised concerns over the condition of government schools in Assam's Karbi Anglong district after inspecting several institutions in the Singhasan Council constituency.

The inspections focused on basic facilities and the overall condition of the schools, with Tisso raising questions over infrastructure, teacher and student attendance, toilets, drinking water and mid-day meals.

The MP expressed concern that deficiencies were visible even at schools located along major roads, raising questions about the condition of institutions in more remote parts of the district.
