Bajali, Sept. 3 -- The Bajali District Students' Union has demanded an immediate review of the changes in police-station jurisdictions affecting villages under Assam's Bajali district, stating that the administrative identity and interests of the people must be protected.

The demand comes after an official notice detailing changes in the jurisdictions of Patacharkuchi and Pathsala Police Stations.

According to the notice, 35 villages have been excluded from Patacharkuchi Police Station and included under Barpeta Road Police Station, while another 15 villages have been excluded from Patacharkuchi Police Station and included under Howly Police Station.
