Tinsukia, Aug. 3 -- Overnight rainfall caused waterlogging in several parts of Assam's Tinsukia town on Monday morning, with Ward No. 6 among the worst-affected areas, disrupting normal life and affecting traffic.

Several roads remained submerged for hours, forcing school children, commuters and residents to walk through knee-deep water.

Residents described the situation as an "artificial flood caused by poor drainage." The waterlogging followed continuous rainfall throughout Sunday night, with water accumulating on roads and residential lanes, making movement difficult.

Schoolchildren were seen walking through flooded streets, while two-wheelers and small vehicles faced difficulty passing through the waterlogged roads.
